  • Click here to schedule your free consultation. This is a time for me to understand what you are looking for in a therapist and for you to ask any questions about therapy. If we decide to work together, we will schedule an initial appointment and get started.

  • I will send you some forms to sign and questionnaires to complete prior to our first meeting. In our first session, we will begin to get to know each other. I will ask some questions, but you get to share as much or as little as you are comfortable with. We will also talk about your goals for therapy.

  • It’s hard to say an exact number of sessions. Different factors influence how long a person is in therapy including stressors, frequency of meeting, and progress on goals between sessions. We will consistently check in on progress to make sure we are creating the change you are looking for.

Most people report some relief within the first few sessions.

  • Cancellations and Rescheduling: Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Late Cancellations: If less than 24 hours notice is given, a late cancellation fee (up to $90) will be charged if applicable, regardless of the reason. If you reschedule in the same calendar week, the cancellation fee may be waived.

No Shows: If you do not attend your scheduled appointment and do not notify me in advance, you will be responsible for the full session fee, if applicable.

This allows me to reserve your time and offer openings to other clients who may be waiting.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your health care will cost

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have certain types of health care coverage or who are not using certain types of health care coverage an estimate of their bill for health care items and services before those items or services are provided.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any health care items or services upon request or when scheduling such items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

    • If you schedule a health care item or service at least 3 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 1 business day after scheduling. If you schedule a health care item or service at least 10 business days in advance, make sure your health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after scheduling. You can also ask any health care provider or facility for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you do, make sure the health care provider or facility gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing within 3 business days after you ask.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more for any provider or facility than your Good Faith Estimate from that provider or facility, you can dispute the bill.

    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate and the bill.
